Dear Friends, A very intense year for the European Federalists just finished and an exciting 2013 has started full of challenges. Since the very beginning of 2013 Federalists are part of a deep debate on Britain’s role in Europe, in a wide range of UK and European media and via numerous opinion papers. Despite the new issues arising, the political, banking and fiscal Union is still at the European horizon: many concerns to face! The European Federalists want to propose concrete solutions to concrete problems and thus we are working on drafting a A Fundamental Law of the European Union that will be published in May-June after further consultations. The way to a federal Europe is going to be long, demanding and we will need to improve our tools and skills, in order to keep the federalist project on the political agenda. Therefore we are organising the Federalist debate & training weekend in March 2013. During two days pro-European activists will improve their knowledge on campaigning and lobbying. I hope to see many of you there!
Sincerely yours, Christian Wenning UEF Secretary General
